Juniorettes

             “YOU CAN DO IT, WE CAN HELP”

​

​The 2024-2026 adninistration encourages GFWC/Ohio Federation of Women’s Clubs club women to form and support their Juniorette Clubs by providing guidance and by serving as models of leadership, cooperation, and understanding. Juniorettes have school and extra-curricular activities, and social lives to juggle, but want to find time to make positive changes in their communities. Juniorette clubs are a perfect fit for these young women! Juniorettes are young women, ages 12 to 18, working together to meet the needs of their communities through volunteer service projects.
 

Juniorette Clubs promote volunteerism and Federation leadership development. To recognize achievement and encourage club participation in reporting, the following Juniorette Awards are given annually at the OFWC Convention:

Juniorette of the Year: The Juniorette Club will nominate the successful candidate for this award. An application for this award is in the OFWC Forms section of this Club Manual.

Inter-federated Activity Award: This award is for any joint project involving a Juniorette Club and either a Junior Women’s Club or a General Women’s Club.

Pacemaker Award: This award is presented to the best overall Juniorette Club and is based upon
the reporting pages submitted by February 1, 2024 and 2025.

Juniorette Advisor of the Year Award: The sponsoring Junior or General Club will nominate
the candidate for this award. If your club wishes to sponsor a candidate, send an essay of 200 words or less explaining the reason for the nomination to the Juniorette Chairman, Deidra Devore.

Juniorette Clubs are encouraged to participate in the GFWC Jr. Special Project “Advocates for Children” with emphasis on GFWC partners- March of Dimes and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the OFWC 2024-2026 Junior Special Project, “Empowering Change-Stronger Together”.
